The Barberry

The Challenge

KAOS Group was a restaurant group located in McMinnville, OR.  They had an ambitious goal with a large facility containing The Barberry, 1882 Grille, and The Oregon Wine Village.  The challenge was to help was a fine dinning restaurant located in McMinnville. The restaurant was looking to improve some of its marketing.  The challenge was to help lift its visibility in search results.  With a mix of website design, local SEO, video, and paid ads, The Barberry was one element of the scope of work which included the 1882 Grille and the Oregon Wine Village.

Website Redesign

The Barrberry needed a fresh update to the site.  The wanted something that came across as clean.  One aspect was an easier approach to making reservations and to plan events.  The result is this design with more open space and larger images.   

Planning Event was also an issue as it was on a separate website.  We incorporated the two and added an email automation element to help manage event leads.

 

One major aspect was integrating the reservation page right at the start.  This helped with user reservations as there was less of a hurdle in finding and making reservations.

 

Display Ads

Barberry was looking to gain more daily lunch traction to their website.  Using local targeting we targeted some common items people like to have namely salads and burgers.  We ran this on a nominal budget and gained traction for local businesses and visitors.  

Video

The Barberry used no video in their marketing.  This was important to capture for use within their marketing display events, location, and food.  The strategy we approached was to show case food and beverages that they offer.  The Barberry was able to use this content to promote within social platforms broadening their visibility. 

Print Marketing

Catering Marketing

Catering was an area they were looking to grow in.  Occassionally resevations were made but few systems were in place help nurture and grow.  Our first endeavor was to build a section of the site dedicated to catering.  The focus was to add SEO value to the website with specific offerings like weddings, corporate events, vacation offerings, and wine tasting experiences.

Next we focused on building out marketing automations to help the company manage the sequences.  From initial contact a sequence kicked off contact to order for registration, payments, to reviews.  This allowed the restaurant to provide quality service by reducing time spent managing requests to deliverables.  

 

SEO

Location is essential for the Barberry.  The challenge this business had is that it had three locations, The Barberry, 1882 Grille, and The Oregon Wine Bar. By indexing the business through Yext we improved the maps ranking for the site.  In addition, we optimized the Google Listing page to keep with most accurate information for the company.
